Laos-China Railway (LCR) is the first express train in Laos, connecting major cities in Laos including Vientiane, Vang Vieng, Luang Prabang, Muang Xay, and Luang Namtha. Getting around Laos by train is cheaper and time-saving.

Train type service.
There are two types of train services: high-speed train and ordinary train.
- The high-speed train can run at a maximum of 160 km/h.
- The ordinary train runs at a maximum of 120 km/h. and The train stops at all the stations.

- The high-speed trains offer two seat passenger classes: First class Seat and Second Class


- The ordinary trains offer one seat passenger class: Standard Class

How to Buy the Tickets
Train tickets in Laos are available 7 days in advance. And Laos to China train tickets are available 14 days in advance.
There are three ways to buy tickets
- Train station If you are staying in Laos, you can purchase a train ticket at the train station and pay with Laos Kip in cash.
- LCR application You need Thailand, China, and Laos Phone numbers Only. for the Register LCR app to buy tickets online.
- Tour Operators (Agency) This is the easiest way to buy your ticket in Laos. if you do not stay in Laos and are unable to register for the LCR app. There are operators selling tickets, like Baolau.com
